Park Celtic U11B team finished pre-season friendly series with a convincing 8-0 victory over Mount Merrion B1 team.

From the kick off this team pushed hard to keep winning possession as far up the pitch as possible with Ryan Maher, Ben McGlinchy and Matt Whelan winning loads of ball back providing the platform for the team to build on.
The pressure eventually paid off when a great passing move resulted in lovely ball from Matthew Whelan through too Morgan McGrail to break the deadlock. More pressure from our striker Jamie Mielke brought the second goal. Alex Sheehy headed in the third goal from a Ryan Maher cross. Dylan Murray completed the scoring in the first half after another great day up by Matthew Whelan. Mount merrion fight hard to try to get back into the game but our defence were immence with Callum Barret and Liam Bernin blocking any attempts to get through with any meaningfull attack. Mount merrion has done strong long range did on goal but Charlie Delaney caught everything.
The second half saw Liam Bernin take over from Charlie in goals and Liam equally saw off some long range did with some fine saves. James Magee was also moved into centre mid field where he covered everything and spread the ball really well causing mount merrion all sorts of problems.
Park did not let up on the pressure in the second half and Morgan, Jamie, Alex and Dylan all added a goal to their tally in the second half giving each of them a brace for the day.
A great performance and the perfect way to set this team up for the league next week.
