U10 B1 struggled to level against a strong Beechwood team.
Too many defensive mistakes made in the first and last part of the second half paved the way for Beechwood’s victory against Park Celtic who played well for the number of chances created but too many times there was hesitation in front of Nathan’s goal and Beechwood took advantage. The first half saw the Park remaining scoreless regarding a comforting start with Ethan leading the way but conceded the ball to Beechwood to score 3 easy goals despite good efforts by Gavin who played in defence and Nathan who made a fine save.
The second half started very well as Gavin after 1 minute with a top class personal action and Tommaso after with a tap in following an amazing passing combination between Daniel and Gavin brought the boys close to level but another silly mistake in defence made soon afterwards gave confidence to Beechwood.
At this point, Park Celtic looked to score again with most of the team involved leaving too much space to the Beechwood’s counterattack who was very clinical to score other 3 goals.
A smashing goal from Taelan with a shot from distance into the top corner was too late to give to Park Celtic hope regardless of other attempts made by Alex.
MVP was Daniel who literally gave everything today.
Few good lessons learned!
