A fine match for the spectators was had in Artane on Saturday morning with the Saturday B Park Celtic team playing a very fine St Johns Vianney boys.

Although we conceded a couple of early goals Park had the better of the chances in the first half. The only reason we didn’t score was through a lack of cutting edge in front of goal and some fine saves by their goalkeeper.More the latter.

The second half started at a fine pace and Park deservedly got themselves back into the game with a scorcher of a goal close in my Matthew and a low strong drive by Conor. All of this was set up by fine wing play from Daire and Ben throughout.

End to end play saw us conceded again but we never gave up and following another fine save from Ciaran we scored another great team goal calmly finished again by Matthew. With Lewis Callum and Patrick as ever brilliant at the back we were very unlucky to concede late on but that doesn’t take away from the fact that we more than matched a fine team today.

Bravo boys.

A special mention and thank you to Patrick for being a rock at the back and stepping into the breach for us today.
