Park Celtic U17s continued their good start with their 5th win in a row in a stop-start season.

Playing against Transport Trust FC on Sunday morning on a soft pitch in perfect conditions.

Both teams had a minutes applause for the late Fran Ray (founder of the DDSL) who passed away during the week.

This Park Celtic team don’t believe in making things easy for themselves/managers/supporters and went a goal down after 15 seconds when a back pass to Killian bobbled as he went to hit it and it went to a Transport player who finished well.

However, the lads just knuckled down and started to create several chances and down to some bad luck, bad finishing and good defending it was 30 minutes before the equaliser came.

From a kick out by Killian to Sam on the halfway line who played a through ball to Adam who timed his run perfectly and slotted it home.

Then 5 minutes later Luke received a ball from David and went by two players before hitting a screamer into the net giving the keeper no chance.

The second half was the same with Park looking for the killer 3rd goal but always being open to a breakaway.

The 3rd came from a super 40-yard ball by Rob which Gavin ran onto and finished in the bottom corner, the 4th quickly followed when Aaron found some space in the box and poked the ball home.

Park were now attacking in waves and just before the end Luke got his 2nd with a lovely curving shot from the edge of the box.

Transport never gave up and have a good team spirit but it just wasn’t their day.
