U10B1 Sat team suffered  2:1 defeat against Wayside.
The team today did lack the quality they usually display and that was not helped in the first half by the strong wind against them which disappeared in the second half.
But Wayside ultimately deserved the win at the end because they believed more in it than Park Celtic.
The first half was conditioned by the strong wind which helped the 2 shots from long distance that Wayside players managed to shoot against an otherwise well-organized Park defence led by Alex, Patrick and especially Tim.
On the contrary, Park was not able to produce the same despite the great effort by Tommaso on the right-wing.
In the second half Park put much more pressure on Wayside producing some fine attacking actions that did not materialize for few inches (Taelan hit the crossbar in one of them) but some players were not convinced enough to salvage the match and few decided to win the match on their own looking selfishly for a goal when there were team mates better positioned to pass the ball to instead.
This will hopefully prove to be a good lesson that has been learned today by the team.
The goal for Park Celtic came from a fantastic header by Tim following a corner. Tim deserves the MVP title today as he was perfect in defence and was well supported by Patrick.
Looking forward to the next match for a bit of redemption and another classy display!
