Park Celtic U11 E1 team played away to an organised Clondalkin Celtic team.

The beginning of the game saw a slow start for both teams. But it was Clondalkin Celtic to get settled first and with some good passing split the defence to score their first. Park Celtic began to get into their groove and produced some good passing and movement and came close with a couple of chances but unfortunately were unable to find the back of the net.
With the wind behind them, Clondalkin found the goal twice after some fine passing to their forwards who took their chances.
With some fine defending from Daniel and Cal and with some excellent goalkeeping from Patrick Mee the first half could have ended up more than 3-0 down.

The start of the 2nd half saw Clondalkin find the back of the net again first to make it 4-0. The boys continued to play well with plenty of good passing and movement that saw Ollie Scott score twice in close succession to make it 4-2. Plenty more chances were created but unfortunately failed to find the target after some good saves and good defending from Clondalkin.
With Park Celtic on the attack, Clondalkin broke away on the counter-attack and added another to make the game 5-2.
With the game almost over Clondalkin scored again with a good cross come shot from distance to end the game at 6-2.

Overall the boys played really well and the 6-2 end score did not really reflect their performance against an evenly matched Clondalkin Celtic.

Also, it was great to see the hard work put in at training the last few weeks starting to come together.
