U14 Girls Division 4 Road to the James Lee Cup Final

Our U14 Division 4 Girls team will compete in the James Lee Cup Final on the 19th of May at 2:30 in the afternoon, this team is no stranger to success as seen in their previous two years of league titles. The girls kicked off their cup campaign against Raheny United with Park winners which set up a home quarter-final vs Terenure Rangers. The quarter-final proved to be a good test for the girls but Park came away 3-0 victors with goals from Katy, Grace and Maddie. The MVP of the game was Kate due to her commanding presence in the backline. While Park won the game they lost their goal scorer Megan in an unfortunate injury which saw Megan suffer a double leg break, everyone was devastated by this news but the girls rallied and used Megan's injury as motivation to win for her. The victory saw the girls draw Enniskerry FC in an away Semi Final in Bog Meadow, this game proved to be Park’s toughest test as the game finished 2-2 with Maddie scoring both, the game couldn’t be separated in normal time which meant it was down to Penalties. Park came away 4-3 winners in the Penalty shootout and booked themselves a seat in the final on the 19th of May versus Enniskerry YC who are top of Division 4 it'll be a great test for the girls. Massive congratulations to all the girls for their hard work and efforts throughout the season and to their coaches who have continued to support and create a fantastic environment for the girls to play football.
